My journey into healthcare began in the intensive care unit, where I cared for chronically ill patients as a registered nurse. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for mental health. This realization led me to pursue a career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, culminating in a Master’s degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University.
